The Bluebell Railway is able to provide the visitor with a wide range of catering services. We are also able to provide a variety of services to the corporate client.

Bessemer Arms Sign

At Sheffield Park Station, housed within the purpose built restaurant is our real ale bar, The Bessemer Arms. Bar lunches, featuring appetising homemade food, are available here every day except Christmas day. On the first floor you will find Puffers, our self selection family restaurant serving hot and cold homemade food, snacks, drinks and more. Our Birch Grove Suite can be booked for Parties, Dinner Dances or Discos.

Horsted Keynes Station has a Victorian refreshment room which is open on most operating days, serving drinks and limited hot and cold meals and snacks. Due to planning restrictions, there are only limited catering facilities on some days at Kingscote Station.

The Birch Grove Suite

This can be booked for Weddings, Parties, Dinner Dances or Discos.

Minimum numbers: 10 people
Maximum numbers:
    Dinner Dance: 50 people
    Buffet and Disco: 60 people
    Conferences/meetings up to 140 people

Southcoast Motor Services, who operate restored vintage buses, have linked up with Bluebell Railway Catering to offer a complete package (click here for details) for your trip to the Bluebell Railway to provide the complete vintage day out.

On-Train Catering

Some of our trains convey a Buffet Car (Left), for the service of drinks and light refreshments. If no buffet car is included on the train, a Catering trolley may be operating from the brake van.

Pride of place must go, however, to our "Golden Arrow" dining train (Right). This operates using restored Pullman Cars dating from the 1920s, and runs on many Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes, as well as occasionally midweek. Pre-booking is essential, and full details Golden Arrow services are available here. In addition, the Christmas Golden Arrow services are extremely popular. Pullman Car "Christine" has recently returned to service on the Golden Arrow, after a major overhaul in our workshops, and is now as good as it was in 1928! Take a wander through the train with these 360 degree views of the interiors of the carriages on the Golden Arrow.

Steam & Cream

Mondays to Fridays

Enjoy an afternoon cream tea
