L. B. & S. C. R. Centenary Weekend
18th November 2000
This event was held to mark the 100th Anniversary of the London, Brighton
and South Coast Railway and featured a number of locomotives built at that
company's Brighton works. There were two visitors for the event, 8
'Freshwater' and 11
'Newport', both Terrier tank engines from the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
On the day I was there it was too dark to photograph 'Newport' on the
occasions when I saw her. It was also, unfortunately, too dark to photograph
the triple-headed Terriers.
