The Bluebell Railway has the following Vacancy in its Locomotive Department:
Locomotive Fitter
The post holder will have completed an engineering apprenticeship, or have experience of mechanical work in a relevant field.A level of competence in the operation of hand and machine tools, and electric and gas welding, is required.
The post entails mechanical work on the repair and restoration of steam locomotives, and associated workshop duties.
Experience with locomotive boilers will be advantageous.
The Locomotive Works operates 7 days per week, and some weekend working may be required.
