Publicising the Bluebell Railway

As I reported in the latest Bluebell News, the number of visitors to the railway is down compared to last year. The uncertainty over how many trains we can run during our Santa season (dependant upon the number of corridor carriages we might have available) has also resulted in a delay to the printing of the Santa Special leaflet which has now missed all the summer County Shows and the Thomas event - when many potential customers obtain details of our winter programme. We will now have to work very hard to regain lost ground.

As a result, we have now booked to attend many more shows and events over the late summer and early autumn, to try and get the Bluebell message out to as many people as possible. Maybe you could even help at other similar events not listed below?

If you can help man our publicity stand at any of the following, please contact Caroline Collins in the Sales and Information Office, (telephone 01825 720800) who will then put you in touch with the Bluebell coordinator for the show:

Timetable Leaflet Distribution
A number of volunteers have made contact with us regarding leaflet distribution in their area. We thank them for their offers of help.

Again, the more volunteers we have, the greater the opportunity in having our leaflets out and on display at Hotels, Tourist Offices, Libraries, Shopping Centre, Attractions etc.

Your help really could make the difference with this year's results.

Thank you
