Repair work on 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair's boiler has been progressing for some weeks now, undertaken by our regular contract staff Paul Bryant and Phil Welch. Several major components, including the firebox tubeplate, and being replaced. More details and pictures.

Work continues on Baxter to dismantle it for its overhaul. As well as removing the boiler for its 10-year inspection, this time the frames will be coming off the wheels for attention to the axleboxes. Here Kevin George is removing a coupling rod.
