On 18 November 73082 Camelot sprang a leak from a crack in the firebox outer wrapper, just beside the driver's knees, putting it out of traffic for the time being. An in-situ repair is being planned to enable it to complete the remaining 18 months of its boiler ticket.
Regular visitors will have noticed the knocking sound coming from Birch Grove's insides over the past
months.
The left small end bearing is being replaced.
