Work starts on Stepney

Work has started on the removal of Stepney's boiler so that it can be thoroughly examined with a view to repairing it in the coming year. At this stage it is thought that it requires a new front tubeplate and a large number of patch screws. The picture shows Stepney with some of its boiler fittings removed.
