News of the 3217's Repair

Work on the new tubeplate is proceeding with drilling the new tube holes.

The old and new tubeplates are tack-welded together and drilled through on the radial drill. Here a drilling bush is being used to guide the pilot drill as it starts the hole...

... and then the full-size drill is driven through.
