View of tender frames The tender frame has been reassembled on its wheels. Construction of the new top has not yet started.

View of driving wheels The coupled driving wheelsets have been to Swindon to have their journals machined, and their axleboxes have been remetalled.

View of valve gear When the coupled wheels have been replaced the centre driving set will be removed for journal machining. This will required the valve gear driving chain to be removed. The chain and gears are worn, but may be good enough to stay in place.
