Repaint of BR Mk.1 FO No.3042

Seen here after just over a week in the paintshop, 3042, on loan from the Great Central Railway, has received minor bodyside repairs, an interior tidy-up and a quick coat of paint, retaining its existing "blood and custard" livery. With just tidying up of the lining remaining to be done when this photograph was taken, it is due to enter service imminently on the Santa Special trains.
