On Thursday 4th November, a Russ Hillier photo-charter was run using the Dukedog No.9017 'Earl of Berkeley' an
d a short train of goods vehicles.
The first series of runpasts were made in light drizzle just south of Horsted Keynes.
Two shots of the train paused in 3 road at Horsted Keynes.
Then it was on to Sharpthorne tunnel for another series of runpasts, with both weather and exhaust effects ever improving!
The next series of runpasts were made at Kingscote.
By early afternoon, the skies had cleared, producing a memorable afternoon of runpasts on Freshfield Bank.
These four shots were all taken on the lower half of the bank.
After a few more runpasts towards the top of the bank, it was back down to the bottom to make the most of the setting sun...
What a superb w
ay to end the day!
