Progress
repairing the landslip at Ingwersons had been slowed due to
the bad weather of March, resulting in an intensive Easter
timetable being operated between Sheffield Park and Horsted
Keynes. Although lineside access was prohibited due to the
foot and mouth crisis, with gala intensity services (trains
every 35 minutes), there were still plenty of photographic
opportunities, not to mention the loco sheds at Sheffield
Park and guided tours of the carriage works at Horsted
Keynes.
