The period between Christmas and the New Year saw both the Bluebell's largest and smallest operational locos in action, with some of the trains made up of Vintage rolling stock.
The morning of Boxing Day 2001 offered crisp and clear conditions, with a service three t
imetable in operation. 9F No.92440 was in charge of a 6 coach train, seen here running downhill near Birchstone Bridge with the 11.00 from Sheffield Park.
92240 made a fine sight working up Freshfield Bank with the 12.35 from Sheffield Park.
A light dusting of snow at the site of West Hoathly station sees Ter
riers Nos.55 'Stepney' and 672 'Fenchurch' with the 10.25 from Horsted Keynes on Sunday 30th December.
The return working from Kingscote saw No.672 in the lead, the location being just south of Dean's Crossing.
E4 No.473 'Birch Grove
' was in charge of the other vintage set, and is seen running round her train at Kingscote prior to, and then departing with, the 11.55.
The two Terriers are seen again near New Coombe Bridge with the 12.00 from Sheffield Park.
