This page features photos from January 2003 to April 2003.


A light dusting of the previous days snow still remains on the sleepers as No.473 'Birch Grove' makes an atmospheric departure from Horsted Keynes on Sunday 5th January.


The following Sunday No.473 is seen heading a service train round Freshfields curve.


On Monday 10th February, a photo-charter was held using Terrier No.672 'Fenchurch' and the Mets. These first two pictures are at Kingscote.


A few run-pasts were made at Horsted Keynes, before heading down to Sheffield Park where water was taken.


In the afternoon, 672 is seen on a run-past at Vaux End.


On Sunday 2nd March, Nos. 672 and 473 were in action on service trains, firstly seen near Three Arch Bridge and later leaving Horsted Keynes from the Ardingly triangle.


In golden afternoon sunshine later the same day, BR 4MT No.80151 departs from Horsted Keynes with the Golden Arrow.


Sunday the 6th April saw O1 No.65 in charge of the Vintage Set, seen here getting away from Horsted Keynes with the 4.00pm to Kingscote. (This shot was taken leaning against the Wickham Trolley during a break in p-way work on the running line).


The following Sunday, No.473 was rostered for the Vintage Set and is seen here heading away from Horsted Keynes for Sheffield Park with t he 11.17.


Later on the 13th, No.80151 raises the echoes leaving Horsted Keynes.


BR 4MT No.75027 heads the second Golden Arrow run of the day into Horsted Keynes.


On Good Friday, the 18th April 2003, Nos.55 a nd 65 are seen at Horsted Keynes shortly before heading the 10.25am to Kingscote.

Later on Good Friday, No.75027 eases into Horsted Keynes with the 1.02pm service from Sheffield Park.


On Easter Sunday, No.73082 was back in action on the combined Golden Arrow and Vintage Branchline train, seen here at Horsted Keynes.


Not the sharpest of photos, but an interesting view of Horsted from the top of the Ardingly triangle ballast mountain as No.80151 departs on Easter Sunday afternoon.
