As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, the Bluebell Railway Museum Committee are proud to present an exhibition of fifty locomotive plates. The exhibition will be held in the northern most room of the station buildings on
Platforms 1 & 2 at Horsted Keynes station.
The exhibition will comprise of a mixture of nameplates, smokebox door plates, works plates and shedplates. These will also be supplemented by one or two other unusual items, including at least one nameplate never seen before on public display.
We are also pleased to announce that Brian Mokes and Chris Dickerson from the
Sheffield Railwayana Auctions will be present for the three days of the exhibition with their popular Railwayana Valuations Roadshow. Have you ever wondered what that railwayana that has been gathering dust for many years is worth? Why not bring it along and let Brian and Chris give you a free valuation.
The Exhibition and Roadshow will be open from 09.00 to 17.00 from Friday 6
August until Sunday 8 August. Entry will be free, but a small donation would be appreciated to cover the costs of the exhibition.
Do come and see the exhibition; we can guarantee you an interesting visit and a chance to wallow in nostalgia, bringing back youthful memories for some!
