Ecurie Bluebell Car Club:

held their

Classic car drive-in 2003

on Saturday 15th March 2003

Hillman Minx III and Lamborghini Coutanch The Classic car drive in at Sheffield Park, on Saturday 15th of March, attracted in the region of 70 cars, and one bus! It was a glorious day and the selection of cars that this brought out was incredible. We had the "family" end of the market represented by Morris Minor, Ford Prefect, Hillman Minx and Morris Marina. There were a number of sports cars, including most types of MG from MG TA to MGB, a Healey Tickford, Austin Healey 3000, and Sprite, a selection of Morgans, a couple of Triumphs, a Volvo P1800 and a Lamborghini Coutanch (photo, right, with Hillman Minx III). A number of luxury cars also made an appearance and these included a Bentley Mk VI, a Lanchester 14 and a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III. Amongst the more unusual cars were a Daf 44, a Hillman Husky, and an Oldsmobile Rocket.

We are currently planning next year's event and details will be released when we have finalised them.

Thanks to all of the participants for bringing their cars and we look forward to seeing you again. Thanks also to the stewards on the day and the staff of the railway who helped the day go without too many hitches!
