Porters (and others) Wanted

at Sheffield Park Station

View of Station All through this last summer there have been staff shortages at Sheffield Park station, particularly on weekdays. The vast majority of our visitors arrive at Sheffield Park and we do need people to meet and greet them and to look after the station.

We do have a number of regulars who cover a day each week who would be willing to show any newcomer the ropes. At present we only manage to produce one porter each day but ideally three of four would make life easy and produce a better standard of service for our customers.

The job is basically to tidy up each morning, then man the ticket barrier and car parks while our customers are arriving, and dispatch the trains. The evening brings cleaning to minimise the morning rush to get the job done.

LNWR Observation Car

During the peak, we also need to provide a competent attendant on the observation car.

Please contact the Station Master's office by e-mail or drop in there, on Platform 1, at Sheffield Park Station.
