This fund remains open and any contributions are gratefully received, to enable us to build up a reserve fund so that we can be ready to purchase any suitable plots of land which can be of use to us adjacent to the Railway. Indeed, if the railway is to achieve its planned objectives, further land will inevitably be extremely useful in the future, if, as, or when it becomes available. It could be important for us to be able to act swiftly when such opportunities are offered to us in the future.
The fund was originally established to purchase land needed to undertake the now completed extension to East Grinstead, and we would like to thank all its supporters for the enormous contribution they have made to the success of the project.
