SECR Wainwright "P" Class No 323 "Bluebell"


Work on this locomotive was stopped whilst more urgent priorities were dealt with. The overhaul resumed in September 2009, details of which are here.

View inside the frames

 

Work on 323 is ticking along. This view shows the inside of the frames, with some components removed, some others replaced, and the con rods yet to be taken down.
Valve eccentric

 

One of the valve eccentrics. These had a tendency to work loose on the axle, so the inside has been re-metalled in order to get a secure fixing.
