News of Blackmore Vale's Repair

The motion parts have had extensive repairs and the chains are now being refitted. The new lubrication pipework is nearly finished, and the driving wheels are being replaced. Work on the new tender top is almost complete.

New valve heads fitted to carrier.

New bearings for the valve gear crankshaft.

New lubrication pipework at the front of the loco.

The new tender top on 27 March...
