Station Staff
at Sheffield Park Station

Sheffield Park atmosphere - Alan Bedford - 4 January 2014
  • Do you enjoy trains ? (Need hardly ask !)
  • Do you enjoy working with people and helping visitors ?
  • Do you have a day a week / fortnight / month to spare ?
We are a friendly team, and are pleased to help newcomers to platform staffing "find their feet".

Trains operate daily in Summer and weekends in Winter, so we can find days that suit you.

All we ask is a friendly disposition and a willingness to learn platform duties. These include arrival and departure of trains, checking tickets and keeping the station tidy. We will give you all the help and training you need.

Sheffield Park is the Railway's headquarters and houses the museum, shop, restaurant and locomotive sheds. Most visitors start their journey here.

As an additional duty we provide an attendant from platform staff for the Observation car (below) when running.

To find out what's involved, join us on a Find out more day.
