Phillip Kennedy

We were saddened to hear of the sudden death of Phillip Kennedy. Phil used to work on the platform at Sheffield Park in the 1970/80s and is the third of the Sheffield Park stalwarts from this era to die in recent months. He had recently retired from working at Brighton Station.

We have just heard the sad news that Andrew died last week. He had started as a volunteer when he was 16 and always enjoyed working on the railway (at Sheffield Park Station) until ill-health forced him to give up this work. He was our very first Fat Controller when we did our first Thomas event for Guy's Hospital Evelina Ward appeal and he threw himself into the role with gusto.
