Auction in aid of the Bluebell Railway's Northern Extension Project

In exchange for supplying some photos for use in their Gala programme, the West Somerset Railway have given us two one-day passes (for Saturday 27th March) to their Spring Steam Gala - details of which are here. The photographer in question was unable to use them personally, and, with the kind agreement of the WSR, has offered them for auction in aid of the Bluebell Railway's Northern Extension to East Grinstead.

What is on offer? - Two West Somerset Railway Spring Steam Gala one-day Rover tickets for Saturday 27th March.

How do I bid? - Using the online form below. The level of the current highest bid will be shown here daily, with the final bid levels being updated more frequently on the closing day, with the last update at 8pm on the closing day.

Can I bid more than once? Yes, if you see you are not the highest bidder you are welcome to bid again. If you see on checking your entry that you have made a mistake, please enter the details again, notifying us separately (see below) of your intentions.

When does the auction close? 9pm on Friday 12 March 2010.

Who will win? The highest UK bidder. In the event of a tie, the earliest bidder at that level will win. The winner will be notified by e-mail that evening, or by phone the following day if no response is forthcoming from the e-mail. (Bidders from outside the UK cannot be considered due to the short time to arrange payment and dispatch tickets.)

How will I pay? By cheque sent through the post, or Paypal. If payment is not received by Wednesday 17th March, the tickets will be offered to the second-highest bidder.

How will I receive the tickets? On receipt of payment your address will be forwarded to the West Somerset Railway, who have offered to send the tickets directly to the winner.

Will the data entered on the form be used for any other purpose? No, it will only be used in relation to this single auction. The data will be held pending any queries, and then deleted at the end of April 2010.
