Built as an SK (Corridor Second), it was one of twelve coaches modified in 1989 to form the "Travelling College" train, which, it was intended, should carry parties of school-children around the country on educational tours. The venture was commercially unsuccessful, and the Bluebell subsequently bought all twelve vehicles.

This coach was used as sleeping accommodation for accompanying staff, and has been used by Bluebell volunteers staying overnight - especially useful when you have to be up at 5am to light up the engines. It has now been replaced by a Mk.3 sleeper, and has been sold. The bogies were retained by the Bluebell, and replaced by others.
