Interior refurbishment of SR Van C No.404

23 April 2003

Interior of luggage area, 23 April 2003 Repainting of the interior of the Southern end luggage space going well.

16 April 2003

The Horsted Keynes station staff, led by Tim Baker, have been clearing out, repanelling and repainting the interior of this van, which is in regular service as the brake on our SR vintage branch-line set. Tonight they applied the first topcoat in the southern van area. The green paint used is what we have decided upon as standard for van interiors after research, and measurement of paint samples from many different van interiors.
See also a series of detailed photos taken of the inside of the guard's compartment in 2006.
