On Tuesday 30 October 2007, a photo-charter was run with two visiting un-rebuilt Bulleid Pacifics – No.34007 ‘Wadebridge’ and No.34081 ’92 Squadron’. Apart from a light wind causing a few problems with drifting steam in the morning, the weather could not have been better, and the combination looked stunning in the autumn light.
A huge thanks must go to everyone involved with the photo-charter - obviously to the train crew / operating staff on the day itself, but also all those involved
in the planning, lineside clearance, David Jones for the loan of his “Night Ferry” headboard, and of course the loco groups / workshop staff for making the locos available for us.
