If you've ever wanted to take part in a photo-charter, but didn't know who to contact or how to join in, then the Bluebell Railway has something for you this November!

On Wednesday 19 November, we will be running a photo-charter featuring the visiting Somerset and Dorset 7F and three Bulleid coaches, aiming to re-create an S&D local service.

The charter is expected to run from around 8am to sunset. For the benefit of those who may be unfamiliar with the format, the idea of photo-charters is to visit the best locations on the line at the most suitable times of day lighting wise (assuming the sun shines of course!), with a number of run-pasts being made at each location so that everyone has chance to get a range of pictures. The train is in radio contact with the photographers, so that run-pasts can be timed to (hopefully!) avoid any errant clouds. It doesn't matter how big or small your camera is - all are welcome!

The cost for this event will be £58 per head. All payments must be made in advance by cheque. Final details of the charter (including meetings times and locations) will be confirmed to every paid up participant a few days before the event. If you would like to attend this photo-charter, please email the organiser (Jon Bowers) in order to reserve a place. Places will be allocated on a first come basis, and I will acknowledge your email by sending you a booking form and full details of the charter.
