(photo taken 17 September 2020)

Built as an SK (Corridor Second), it was one of twelve coaches modified in 1989 to form the "Travelling College" train, which, it was intended, should carry parties of school-children around the country on educational tours. The venture was commercially unsuccessful, and the Bluebell subsequently bought all twelve vehicles.

This coach was used as sleeping accommodation for accompanying staff, and has been used by Bluebell volunteers staying overnight - especially useful when you have to be up at 5am to light up the engines.

Type: SK (Corridor Second)
Built: 1962, at Derby (Lot 685)
Rebuilt: as Domitory, 1989, at Cardiff
Original No: E25776
Other Nos: TCL 99166
Seating: Originally 48 2nd class
Length: 63' 6"
Weight: 37 Tons, 43 Tons as rebuilt
Withdrawn: 1988 and 1992
Preserved: 1993
To Bluebell: 11/12/1993

Further photos of its current condition - 17 September 2020 (interior, 22 October 2020) - click on each photo for an enlargement. Note, the current bogies will probably be retained by the Bluebell, and replaced by others.
