The first phot o-charter with the E4 after it was turned to face north was held on Monday 14 November 2005. Fortunately, the weather obliged to produce some memorable pictures! Many thanks are due to Adrian Palmer for running the charter, and of course all the train-crew and signalmen that made it happen – cheers guys!

The first set of run-pasts was made just south of Horsted Keynes.

Followed shortly afterwards by another set at Horsted House farm.

Back at Horsted Keynes, the E4 takes water, watched by Normandy.

No.32473 runs onto Freshfield Bank in the afternoon.

A little later, the E4 climbs away from Three Arch Bridge.

No.32473 catches the last rays of sunshine at she departs Horsted Keynes.
