Bluebell Railway Preservation Society
London Area Group

The Bluebell Railway Preservation Society London area group held its first meeting on 25 September 1972 and its last meeting on 9 March 2010. During that time, approximately 225 evening slide shows and talks (by Bluebell and non-Bluebell luminaries) were held for BRPS supporters in London and the south-east, plus several cine film shows and audio-visual spectaculars. During the 1970s and 1980s, several coach outings were also organised, to raise much needed funds for the Society.

The group eventually closed in March 2010, and its remaining funds were donated to the Bluebell Railway Trust, specifically to help with the maintenance and development of the Railway's Museum. The presentation of those funds to the Trust was made by Klaus Marx at the 2010 BRPS AGM.
