How you can support the group

Join our restoration teams

Get in touch if you're interested in joining us - there's a huge variety of work to be done, skilled and unskilled. Our teams are expanding but are mainly about on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays (including in the evening). We are revitalising the training element of our work so you can acquire new skills with us.

Subscribe to become a member of SRCG

Members receive two digital newsletters each year (March and September) featuring updates on the work we're doing plus other articles about restoration techniques, the individual carriages and more. Members will also be invited to an annual meeting with behind the scenes tours, which will be timed to coincide with the BRPS AGM day (the next one expected to be in June 2024).

The annual subscription for 2024 is £15. Funds raised will be used to support the work of the group. Download an Application Form

Donate to support our projects

Donations will keep the projects moving forward, and we are developing a sponsorship scheme for the more interesting identifiable components for the carriages we are overhauling.

Leaving a Gift in your Will (via the Bluebell Railway Trust) specifically for the group or its projects will help enhance our work enormously in the years to come, and secure the future of some of our carriages the restorations of which are currently very much longer term ambitions.

Visit us

We run guided tours of the carriage works at Horsted Keynes that are open to the public on many weekends when the railway is operating. If SRCG members are interested to see what we are doing when tours are not available, if it's a day we're about, we'll be only too pleased to take them for a tour behind the scenes. Please get in touch to let us know you will be coming.

Contact us

You can contact us directly using Messenger on our Facebook page or by email via Richard Salmon. Or you can write to David Rhydderch, c/o Bluebell Railway Carriage and Wagon Department, Horsted Keynes Station, Haywards Heath RH17 7BB.
